Strategy

Unsure of what to store in Vault? Can’t decide what to tackle first? Overwhelmed by the three-times-per-year releases and the new functionality they bring with them? I can help you work with your Customer Success and Product Managers to sort through the noise to parse out the most-critical and most-impactful course of action for your business.

Validation

I’ll assess your quality and validation processes to help determine how to make the best use of Veeva’s validation deliverables in concert with your own requirements. When verification activities are needed, we’ll find the most efficient way to create and execute acceptance test scripts to ensure your configuration is bulletproof.

Training

With my wealth of experience and system knowledge, I am positioned to educate your technical staff and system administrators on the best practices for configuration management, deployment processes, and change control.

Architecture and Design

A content management system should be an asset to your users. Nothing’s worse than over-engineering a solution to the point that people can’t find things or think the system is hard to use. I can help you assess your situation and design an information architecture that helps optimize your use of the Vault applications.

Deployment

When possible, we’ll leverage Vault’s configuration packaging tools to quickly gather changes from your sandbox and move them through your environments. When needed, we’ll devise a plan for manual configuration migration. In advance of those changes, we’ll work on a change management strategy to minimize the impact to your user base and ongoing operations.

Migration

Whether you are new to Vault or an old pro, you’ll undoubtedly be asked to relocate content or data into one of your Vault applications. Having migrated hundreds of thousands of documents and data records, I’ll share my lessons learned as it relates to gathering the data and executing the migration via any number of Vault tools, third-party applications, or custom scripts.

Configuration

Once we figure out what you need, it’s time to put that game plan into action. With many different configurable features, some with dependencies on other features, let me help your team bring your vision of the system to life. My extensive background configuring multiple Vaults for a global user base can help guide us along the way.

Governance

For those customers who share Vault applications across business functions, conducting an impact analysis and getting consensus on system changes can be a challenge. I’ll share my perspectives on how to best construct and operate a global governance team that can be empowered to make decisions about key system changes.

Integration

Sometimes a system’s functionality can only go so far. I’ve had the opportunity to build and support custom tools utilizing Vault’s API and SDK via Java, .NET, Python, and PowerShell. I’m well-versed in VQL and SQL. Let’s talk about your integration needs and decide if the return is there to justify making that investment.
